Hi guys, I only own the truck for a little bit but I noticed that the cooling fan is running full time and it's getting colder and colder here. Any Idea? fan itself seems alright. Thanks

You're talking about the engine cooling fan right? And I assume it's a mechanical fan with a clutch? It is likely the clutch that is faulty.

zero i had the same question that didnt clearly get answered for me,so i asked a mechanic he explained when you start your vehicle the fan turns when your at a stand still (even when its cold)if u start driving the faster you drive the more the clutch fan will slip until it warms up and the clutch fan will grab more the hotter it gets weather your moving or not.long story short when its not running you should be able to turn the clutch fan by hand.

Alright, thanks charlieb, fan is turning by hand like you said and I will pay attention when I am driving around if it's running. What I was reading was on a 94 Ram and I never found anything else to confirm it.
