1-Will doing the y pipe mod void the warranty say if a converter were to go bad?
2- Took my express to my exhaust guy today to look at this y pipe situation. He recommended a flowmaster y pipe over the magnaflow because the magnaflow is a stamped piece and the flowmaster is not. He said longevity of the flowmaster is greater because the stamped pieces have a tendency to separate and leak after a while. He quoted me $100 parts and labor to replace with a flowmaster y. I held both of them in my hand and the flowmaster definitely seamed allot more heavy duty. Any thoughts? Fair price?

Flowmaster Aluminized Mufflers and Kits , 3 year warranty

your choice

I was told by the people that would know:
The longer the stipulations of an Insurance Policy or Warranty
The less coverage that you actually have
Look at the length of the stipulations of the Warranty from Flowmaster

You know...With all the discusions about this "Y" pipe , why not eliminate the Y and run duals from the cat back. Just run the pipes side-by-side to either a dual-in/dual-out muffler or into dual mufflers? Would that void the warranty?

What warranty could it void, no matter what you do to the exhaust
Maybe the 5 year SMOG warranty ??

Maybe if the engine valve(s) were to get damaged & it was thought to be caused by cold air. It is not likely because exhaust valves don't suck
