I wasn't sure where to put this thread, but I have a few questions and apologize if this is in the wrong spot.

I have an 07 Dodge Ram Single Cab which I acquired cheap (aka no bells and whistles). Now I want to put in the basics : power windows and power locks. There are lots of kits out there, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a quality one. I am a DIY-er, but if its really difficult will bring a pro in to do the job. I just want to make sure I supply them with a solid kit.

Power windows : I am looking for a strong and reliable motor. It does not have to be quiet, just work every time all the time. I saw some cool switches out there that turn the crank into the "button" and plan on using that. But I want the guts inside the door to be solid. The switch is here, but I'm not sure of the kit. I was looking at this but would love to know what has worked for other members :

Kit :

Power Locks : Not so important to me, but if the panel is off for the window I want to install them. I want the basics for this, don't even care for a button. I've seen some kits that the driver door controls the passenger door, IE if you pull the plunger up, the passenger side goes up; push it down the passenger goes down. If I have a remote and that operation, I'm satisfied. My concern is the same here, I want it to be installed, and then work, and keep working.

Has anyone had any success and can you tell me what kit you have used? Thanks in advance.

Why not go OEM? Everything should work fine, it's plug and play, and it has a warranty. Of course, it will probably be more expensive than what you found.
