So my 1998 2500's Dana 60 has turned into a open diff instead of limited slip... Clutch packs are worn. Eventually I'm going to get a Detroit locker. My question is when I remove the carrier from the axle housing and put the e ring gear on the Detroit locker and reinstall it, do I have to reset the lash on the pinion even if I do not remove the pinion gear? I can justify yes and no in my own head but hopefully someone can tell me what to do for sure, thanks!
