Found a fix for cracked dashes. I ordered a dash cap from Dashskins, it is simply awesome! Simple to install, does not require removal of the old dash, and looks factory original. Color matched, same grain, non detectable.

Do you have any pics after the installation?
Here are some pics... You can't even tell it's been covered.. The color and grain are spot on!

The fit is amazing, even around the side window defogger vents. I made the windshield vent grills myself out of plastic gutter guard. Looked weird at first but I got used to it, does the job! I covered the broken speaker grills with black felt.

My 2003 Dodge 3500 has a broken front part of the dash(that section that has the vent holes) and I don't know whether to order the 1-piece complete dash cap or just the front section that would cover all that is currently broken.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Glenn

Did you put different air vent covers on as well or did it come with those?

I was pretty skeptable about getting one from them on eBay, but now i feel better for sure

Im guessing that you bought the dark Slate Grey and not the unpainted black right?

My best friend had one on his 2nd gen which was either a '00 or '01, it looked great. You could tell it wasn't 100% as from the factory, but IMHO is a much better option than tearing the dash apart and replacing. I think the carpeted dash mats look awful.

Hopefully the 4th gen dashes don't crack like the 2nd and 3rd gen ones do, but if it turns out that way it is great to know this is an option
