I think a dash kit will be my next mod, I'm leaning towards the Remin Real Carbon Fiber kit.

The "main" kit is $125 or so, but the "addition to main" kit is $230 :wow:
It really doesn't have anyparts I want except for the Door inserts, several of the 18 parts don't even apply to my truck (bucket seats/sport)

Is there a better place (or dash kit manufacturer) that won't overcharge like this?
Or at least offer the 4 door inserts seperately.

Also, I have noticed on some mod pics the door inserts will have the "HEMI 5.7 Liter" logo on them.
Do they come that way or do you have to buy a badge and apply it to the insert?

Thanks for helping a noob!

Carid is the place, have a look at the 2010 kits instead of the 2011 kits.
The Hemi logo is a badge added to the kit.

www.trimstop.com sells the b&i kits. I have one in mine. I bought all the parts that I wanted individually. I didn't have to buy any "starter kit." They do not over charge. What they sell is worth every penny for a quality product.

Perfect!

And yeah, I call it overcharged when the 18 piece kit costs twice as much as the 27 piece kit, especially when I ONLY WANT 4 OF THE PIECES.

I'm hooked on the B&I 3D molded kit, think I'll cover the silver parts of the dash and stop there.

Otherwise it will look like a tree threw up in my truck.

Yah, I know what you mean about pricing. I was just referring to another kit that is out there on the internet that is cheaper, but it is basically just like thin mac tac and it's not worth the savings.

I don't like the silver very much either, but I wasn't sure what would look tasteful, so I just covered what is covered in the Laramie's

PS. The service at trimstop was beyond incredible as well. Definitely my favourite online buying experience.

WOW! That looks great!

What finish is that? Is it B&I?

I am thinking of doing the 3D molded in a wood finish on the silver (each side of the main console) and then Carbon Fiber down the center and on other trim pieces.

Not sure how it will look, maybe someone could photoshop it?

How did you go about buying the pieces you wanted w/o buying the entire kit? Just through customer svc at trimstop?

Yah, they have a live chat operator most of the time. She helped me for 1 hr the 1st time when I was thinking about it, then for about 90 mins the night that I actually pulled the trigger. She just made up a custom link for the order, and even volunteered an extra savings without me asking for it. If the operator isn't online you can still call.

The finish that I have is bronze burlwood. They also have a couple other interrior pics of rams there to give you some ideas.

Whatever you decide to go with will be great because it will be yours. That is all that matters. That is the great thing about a vehicle...in the end, it only matters to the person who drives it every day. Can't wait to see the pics.

You might also want to check out the extensive work E.L.D. 44 did on his truck inside and out. Not only a great story but one helluva modification to a stock truck. While I might not make the same choices he did, it is a lot of inspiration to do something similar to mine. I love the way he customized his interior trim to match his exterior.
