I'm thinking about upgrading and wondering what those who have think about it... $$$ to performance? i2 or Trinity? I have the magnaflow cat back and K&N CAI already but can never have enough!! Thanks!

Well I got PCM and i2 when Diablo had it's 20% off sale..... After many issues with the set up and working with DS we finally got the tune I wanted... I'm happy with the gains in performance etc. Was it worth the $$$ ??? If I didn't do the upgrade I would drive myself nuts until I did.... so YES! Happy all the way around! The guys at DS worked with me and dealt with my frustrations, although a tshirt for my troubles would have been appreciated lol.....

What kind of issues popped up for you? I'm thinking about ordering a computer/I2 while the 20% off sale is still going on

I'd love a tune for towing, but I imagine swapping the pcm creates plenty of issues for warranty purposes, so I won't be going that route any time in the near future since I have the lifetime maxcare.

Actually the PCM part was fine the i2 they sent had issues... The touch screen was jacked up and all the options weren't available on it (modify parameters)... The new i2 I received was perfect and easy to use and pretty fast compared to the 1000... They sent me the newest download and I installed it myself (after DS walking me thru it the first time)... I would imagine after my issues and having them on speed dial #1 they have all the updates and issues resolved...

I have a 2011 Ram 1500 Sport. I went with Trinity T1000 from Hemifever Tune. It was well worth the 550$ comes with his tune and instructions on how to upgrade. Sean also works with you on tuning your truck custom to your Truck. He gives really good instructions and has you setup some tests also then send him the logs so he can see how they look. The Diablo Tune alone I feel was subpar. The Hemifever Tune though was fantastic. It is amazing how well my truck ran after installing his tune and fine tuning it with his help. He even can adjust your shift points and finds out how you drive or what your goal is. Want to save gas? he will help you with it. Want to race your truck? he will help you get the tune where you want it. I have 0 buyers remorse.

Well it was a brick but with the PCM I just swapped it back to the stock PCM and my truck was fine... It was the first I2 that was the problem... I didn't expect that and neither did DS.... They were good with paying for the overnight shipping and only one tech was a D-Bag...

I'm glad I did mine. I didn't need a PCM (2014 2500, 6.4L) so I got the I2 and I got a custom tune from Hemifever as well.

I had no set up issues with the I2. I first plugged it into my computer, checked for updates, unplugged it from the computer, plugged it back in and checked for updates again (knew that sometimes these things need two chances to update), then plugged it into the truck, selected my options and loaded the tune.

The canned tunes were OK but the custom tune really woke up the truck. I never dyno'd it before and after but the butt dyno sez I got a gazillion more units of Beast. :D

Yeah, its a bit of a tough value proposition to swallow on the newer trucks.

2015 and up trucks cost at least twice as much to tune as 2014 and down simply due to having to buy a blank PCM for programming.
