I used some left over 1/4" black plastic wire loom from when I did some wiring. I had probably 50' left over. You can buy 100' for like $10 bucks online....I was going to use black door guard but it is either gooey or has adhesive and i wanted to easily remove anything so i came up with this.

Put it over the billet part, cut to length, make sure it catches underneath to keep it in place, DONE! Took me about 30 minutes start to finish. Does it look perfect, no, but for $10 and nothing permanantly done, i'll try it out and report back of any issues. Here's the final look:

Interesting curious how it will hold up under highway speeds - and I understand how you got the horizontals in lack, how did you do the vertical supports or were they black to begin with?

GTS light covers on headlights (have them on tail lights too).....
next going to Plastidip ram's head
i originally plasti dipped my ram head but i wanted some contrast between all the black. The great thing is i just peeled it off lol ...I used VHT nightshade spray on my tail lights and i'm tempted to do the headlights but not as dark. I don't want to get stuck with blacked out headlights.

As far as the grill goes it looks awesome. Have you ever thought about taking off the grill and removing the the inserts and plasti dipping them?

thought about plastidipping inserts but i've had mixed reviews of the stuff....thought i'd try this method for a while........i ordered 100 ct of short black zip ties i'm going to zip tie the ends of each one so they stay put for sure! only $6 for 100 of them, i didn't have enough of the same size or else it would have been a freebie

Just wanted to give an updated review since it's been a while since I did this mod......so far i have had to do NO repairs and they've all stayed put through lots of drive-thru car washes and highway speeds!

I love what you did with the idea Xqqme.

here's a shot i took, although the mod doesn't show up well, the grill looks like it should come from factory.
