I've got the 4.7 with 35x12.50x20 tires. I've got the stock 3.92 gears right now and my question is this. Is it worth stepping up to the 4.56 gears or do you guys think with the superchips cortex chip it will be fine with the stock gears?

You don't "need" to but it will def help the load. If you think your happy with it now then stay with the 3.92's. Personally going to 4.56's or 4.88's is worth every cent imo.

If you feel like the truck is struggling then yeah. Target gears for 35s on a daily driver are 4:10s so I wouldn't think 3:92s would be too bad

true I know that most people are saying to go to 4.10s but then I hear other people say go with the 4.56 because you'll regret not doing it over the 4.10s the truck does feel pretty sluggish really so I guess I'll go for it lol. Cheapest I've found to install em is 400 :/

That's actually pretty inexpensive
My buddy had 35s on his Cherokee, went to 4:10s and wish he had 4:56 for the woods

I wouldn't change the gears unless you plan to PLOW with it.

That is pretty inexpensive actually. With 35" tires I'd consider 4.56 over 4.10 for sure. I have like 31.5" tires and almost want to go to 4.56, but think I'll stop at 4.10. It's a shame there's nothing in between (are you listening gear manufacturers...).
