After spending about $100 bucks on a new rear driver side actuator and installing, the door locks still do not work. I read a post on wires splitting where the wires connect to the door via the rubber boot. So far I looked but no visible signs of a break. Is there an easy way to access the wires in the rubber boot without tearing the rubber boot or do I just have to cut it? I'm thinking the break is inside the rubber boot. I guess this is a common problem..wish I did this before I wasted my money on a new actuator.:doh:

find a place under the dash where you can access the wire or at the tipm and do a continuity test from the switch to the other end of the wire. if you have continuity there is no break if not then you need to track the break down by moving up the wire closer to the switch

I went ahead and split open the rubber harness and sure enough two wires red and black were split. I went ahead and did a temporary fix. Looks like the other wires are about to split soon. Does dodge sell a replacement harness or do I have to splice the split wires when the time comes?
