I've always done my own oil changes but some people have told me it could void my warranty. If I keep the receipts from the parts store will I be alright? So far I've never had any kind of issue with any vehicle I've owned. What do you guys think?

You should have no problem with your warranty if you can prove the vehicle was serviced properly.

To insure they can't argue you went extended periods without servicing the vehicle, I'd keep a log with the date of the change, total mileage since last change, mileage at time of change and your receipts.

Thanks MADDOG. It's not just oil changes, I try to do everything at the proper intervals. You're right it would make sense to keep a log book of some kind. I have o.c.d. when it comes to my vehicles. Just feel better when I do it myself.
