Hi,
In May of this year, I purchased a used 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab with 23,000 miles on it. Not too long ago, I had locked the doors using the key fob, and when we went to get back in the pickup, my wife opened the rear passenger door, setting off the alarm as I had not yet unlocked the door. It was then that I noticed that the rear passenger door does not lock or unlock with either the key fob, or the electric lock button. It does move like it is trying to lock or unlock, but just doesn't seem to have the power to lock or unlock the door. Do the actuators sometimes get weak or could it be a problem with the linkage? Any ideas or info is appreciated. Thanks.

The 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty came off in May. The worst part is that it was still under warranty when I bought it and was probably not working at the time, but we just never noticed it. Note to self: Be sure to check all electric windows, door locks, mirrors, etc... before purchasing a vehicle. I did check the mirrors and windows, but not the door locks!!!

I went ahead and replaced the actuator and that seems to have been the problem. Only 24,000 miles, so I must have gotten a bad actuator in my Ram.
