Basic problem: Driving and engine dies.

Facts: Problem started a month ago when driving the engine would just die. Seems to do so at about 2000 rpm. Got worse. One day would not start. Starter cranked fine. Would not push start.

Effort to date: Engine cranks. Checked fuses. Dropped gas tank, checked connection and lines. Clean gas tank and replaced fuel pump. Started up and drove fine for three blocks. Died.:doh: Restarted and drove back home. Won't start. Research indicates maybe the cam shaft position sensor.

Suggestions? Ideas? Comments? Help???:Hey:

unplug the camshaft sensor and crank vehicle for 5 to 10 seconds if it does not start and run then try it for a minute or two no more you don't what to Brun the starter up if it does start up it is a bad camshaft for the computer will index number 1 injector spark plug Off of the crank sensor vs the cam sensor

Do you have any codes? sometimes you will have codes but pending also.

If it is a cam/crank sensor it would defiantly throw a code. let us know what you find.

Agreed ^^^^ you should have a CEL on by now. Most parts stores check it for free so if you can get it there that's where I'd start.
