Hey folks,
I've been checking out the forums for some answers,
This last Friday my Dodge Ram 1500, 3.7L started knocking very loudly while driving to work, I quckly pulled over and shut off engine, checked oil levels, all was ok, (just had oil changed in the last 2 weeks, using a syn 5w20). I restarted engine and the knock continued, shut down again, restarted again and knock stopped, drove onto work no more problems.
After work same problem, went thru the same process and it finally stopped, drove home. Later in the evening checked out the knock and it want go away anymore.
Do you have any Ideas on what else to do? I have no oil leaks, oil levels are ok, no missing or rough running, don't think it's an injector knocking, all knocking is coming from front of engine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have really taken care of this truck, purchased at 65k miles, now have 117k.
Thanks in advance,

I've seen this engine have cold start misfires & when warm or hot misfires would go away. Every case was leaking intake valves, exhaust valves also if the engine was ran hot. Leak down test may show, same with a running compression test. Any dtc's set. I would find a dealer in your area and run some diagnostics for you. So u have an idea of what it's gonna take.
