Hi, I have a Dodge 2001 Ram 2500 with a diesel engine. Resently, while traveling down a very rough road, I started to get an engine miss. I checked the codes and the problem was the MAP sensor. The wiring plug had come loose. I put it back on properly and the miss disapeared. How ever, I have now noticed that while under a heavy load (towing), the miss comes back. No codes are being generated. any ideas?
Fuel Presure is about 15 PSI during the engine miss.
Is it possible the the MAP Sensor was damaged?

Anything is possible. Replace the sensor for the hect of it but next time you tow be wise and drive it at a lower gear, slow or not. And when you are at a stop light put it in Neutral and keep the rpm's up to keep the engine cool. Check into a disil treatment
