Hi, everyone.

I have a dilemma.... I have a 88 Dodge D100 3.9 V6 TBI w/o AC, and it has a problem running right... It runs rough at an idle, and has these random power fades on acceleration, but at high RPMs it seems to run great. Anyone got any idea as to what this problem could be?

I've done a full tune up. plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor button, pick up sensor, and all new vac lines...... the O2 sensor was recently replaced too....

My friend has a 1992 dodge power ram with a v-6 engine. The pick-up was running good until it just started chugging and loosing power; nursed the pick-up home and the next morning started the vehicle, drove about two blocks all the while chugging and then actually blew the muffler off of the truck. Haven't driven it since.

Your describing an engine that hasn't got enough air to breathe; a clogged or very dirty air filter would cause this.
A clogged exhaust system would also do it.
A restricted fuel flow (dirty filter) would do that. Or a kinked fuel line...

Just some ideas to throw around.
Good luck
