Agreed! I also purchased the MaxCare plan for 8 years/100k miles. It is the best extended warranty available, and does not cover as much as the 3 years/36k miles you have now. Battery, leaks, paint are not covered anymore.I bought a Mopar MaxCare ESP and it paid for itself.
With all the expensive electronics I felt more comfortable having one.
Mopar was the only one I considered as it was attached to my VIN and every dealership honors it.
I recommend buying earlier than later as there is an additional fee at 12K and 24K miles if you wait.
I think you can get a full refund (minus fees depending on the state) if you don't use it. I sold my truck and got a pro-rated refund even though I had used it. YMMV
I bought the Mopar Max Care + with 7 year 125000 mile bumper to bumper coverage, my 2022 Laramie had 5195 miles when I got it the end of Sept 2022. It is 100.00 deductible.I just bought 2022 Ram 1500 w/2460 miles on it.I know I have the rest of 3 /36 but want to buy extended warranty since i figure I will keep for a while, maybe last truck I buy.Just traded 2006 Ram 2500 in.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. THANKS
I special ordered my 2014 Outdoorsman 4x4 5.7 in 2013, and took delivery Feb 2014. I optioned it up quite a bit, and negotiated a sales price $10K under MSRP. At the time Ram was offering their “Lifetime Unlimited Mileage” extended warranty. While not truly lifetime, as there are rules in the policy to make it sunset eventually, I do expect it to last me to 300-400k miles. I’m not sure it’s still available, but it seemed prudent to me to purchase it because of all the high tech stuff I was getting. So I bought the Maximum Care level with $0 deductible. It cost me $3400, and so far has covered $6300 in dealer repairs since the 36 month / 36,000 mile warranty expired. I’m glad I bought it. I’m at 94,000 miles now. Spending the $3400 was made easier since I was getting the $10,000 off of MSRP.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. 2016 was the last lifetime warranty year. It was never offered for a diesel, only the gassers.I special ordered my 2014 Outdoorsman 4x4 5.7 in 2013, and took delivery Feb 2014. I purchased an 8 yr/75,000 mile (from date vehicle is in service) $0 deductible Zurich warranty thru my local dealer for $1600 in 2018 on my 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 with 20K miles. Never needed it until this February when the sensor game started. $3000+ later in repairs it was worth the investment. Service writer told me Zurich is the best warranty company she deals with, quick responses and very seldom non-covered items. I never bought an extended warranty before, but did on the Ram because of the computers. Sadly, very little is "fixable" by back yard mechanics anymore.I just bought 2022 Ram 1500 w/2460 miles on it.I know I have the rest of 3 /36 but want to buy extended warranty since i figure I will keep for a while, maybe last truck I buy.Just traded 2006 Ram 2500 in.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. I purchased lifetime Mopar warranty that I brag about. Those that bought from dealership in many areas lost dealership lifetime warranty when dealership was replaced by a different one.I just bought 2022 Ram 1500 w/2460 miles on it.I know I have the rest of 3 /36 but want to buy extended warranty since i figure I will keep for a while, maybe last truck I buy.Just traded 2006 Ram 2500 in.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. I bought the life time warranty for my 2010 Ram I guess they don't sell that any more, I will keep this truck till the wheel fall off mainly do to the warranty. I might add that the truck just turned over 27000 and has never been it the snow.I just bought 2022 Ram 1500 w/2460 miles on it.I know I have the rest of 3 /36 but want to buy extended warranty since i figure I will keep for a while, maybe last truck I buy.Just traded 2006 Ram 2500 in.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. A Mopar lifetime extended warranty was not tied to a dealer. If a dealer goes out of business or is replaced the Ram owner would still have their Mopar lifetime warranty.I purchased lifetime Mopar warranty that I brag about. I bought the Chrysler MoPar warranty. Paid about $2000 for 5 yr/ 85000 mile coverage. Not a bad deal. After it expired unused with NO claims filed. I applied for a full refund and had a check in about 2 weeks. There is a trick though. If you need something during the coverage period, you might consider paying yourself and not filing a claim.EX: repair is $700. You might consider paying for it yourself and protecting your potential future full rebate. Also, I bought mine direct from Chrysler--not from the dealer. Was considerably cheaper. Good luck.I just bought 2022 Ram 1500 w/2460 miles on it.I know I have the rest of 3 /36 but want to buy extended warranty since i figure I will keep for a while, maybe last truck I buy.Just traded 2006 Ram 2500 in.Any thoughts / experience with companies.I thought the best bet would be something from Chrysler / Ram.Any help would be appreciated. Late 2018 was the last time to buy the lifetime warranty if I remember correctly. I bought it in the fall of ‘18 for my ‘18 1500. I remember debating about it and pressuring myself because they were on the verge of stopping it.2016 was the last lifetime warranty year. It was never offered for a diesel, only the gassers.
I bought a 2017 Limited and picked up the lifetime warranty with $100 deductible. Have only used it a couple times and have 134K miles. Plan on this being my last truck2016 was the last lifetime warranty year. It was never offered for a diesel, only the gassers.
