After all the debate and discussion on which steps to put on and what to do, I found a good deal on Amp's Powerstep and installed them myself. I didn't have a full day to dedicate to it, so I spit the install into 2 days and did the whole thing alone.

We saw some on a truck at a campground and my wife liked how they came down lower than other steps. They do, they're about 14" down from the floor of the truck, and the 7" wide step comes out nice and far. It really makes it easy to get in and out of the truck.

I did have some issues with them hitting the pinch weld, and Google results said bounce on them, which I had. However, I had bounced gingerly as I'm a big guy near 300lbs. Well, I had to bounce pretty good on them at each bracket and then they sat and ran perfect! I went with the plug and play option, so it plugs into the OBDII port and doesn't touch the truck wiring.

Also, I added a bed step. That was a nice easy add on to get in and out of the bed easier.
