We just got back from our first long trip towing a camper in the summer and I just wanted to know what other people's cummins engines run at, temperature wise. Mine always ran over 200 unless it was cool at night, 85 to 92 degrees through the day, it was 204 to 210 and pulling up a long mountain pass say, it would get to 216 or so, 210 to 230 for the engine oil temperature. I didn't mind the 210, but when it got to 216, 217, I thought that was pretty warm.

Never had a Cummins but those temps seem fine to me. I've seen coolant up to about 221; for whatever reason my unloaded temps get higher than loaded

I have a 2016 Ram 2500 C.C. 4x4 6 ft bed and 6.4 Hemi with 4:10 gear, my coolant tempt runs around 205/210 empty and gets into the 220 /222 pulling my 24 ft bump travel trailer most flat but some hills outside temp 90/100. I also get nervous about these temp but dealership say it is about right. Would be nice to see what others are experiencing. Carol
