A 2019 Ram 1500 Classic is a fourth-generationmodel, even though the fifth generation also began in 2019. Ram continued to produce the previous body style as the "Classic" to offer both new designs and the older, more affordable version. The original fourth-generation design was first introduced around 2009.

4th gen carried until 24. I bought a 23 Classic w/ hemi because it was "suppose" to be the last of the 4th gen body and hemi. But they ran the 4th gen body for a while in 24 and also dropped the hemi. But I still love all my 4th gen RAMs. Even still have a 3rd gen Dodge Ram. I am VERY happy with the hemi engine.
