Just went to dealer for my first oil change and asked them to flash for my brake controller and the Tech came out and said that he flashed it and it knows it is on there now, but it doesn't show on EVIC when hooked to my camper. I don't believe he knew what he was doing, what you guys think?

I'm looking at a tradesman and it comes with the brake controller, can't delete that option on the Dodge web site. What exactly is that option and what are it's benefits?

It's basically just a nice, trailer brake controller that fits into the factory dash and displays its data in your EVIC in the instrument panel. It doesn't appear to do anything more than a high end, aftermarket controller, but it's a nice feature that it reads out in the EVIC display. I have a Tekonsha P3 controller mounted in the hole where the factory one goes, as I don't have EVIC anyway. Mine has an LCD readout with diagnostics much like the factory controller. If I had EVIC and needed a trailer brake, I'd probably go with that factory controller. If you're never going to pull a trailer with brakes, I can see why maybe you'd want to delete it. However, I doubt it's a very expensive option at time of order/purchase, and it could help resale value way more than what it costs.

The 12s. Have more options for the brake controller. You can Select what type of brakes your trailer has and it shuts off you parking sensors.
