Was cleaning out the garage and found these, brings back memories :)

The 81 F100 when it was stock. This picture was taken probably around 1990 or so:

The 81 F100 when it was fully restored. Seeing as I was about 10 years old in the picture it was taken around 1998:

A picture of me in 2005 putting in the big bad cam:

A picture of me also in 2005 dismantling the top end of the engine(BTW my wife yelled at me because I still wear those shorts 7 years later hahaha):

Some pictures of the viper I got to drive at the junkyard I worked at. These are probably taken in 2005:

Just thought I'd share.

Wow it's weird seeing myself without facial hair...lol. Also don't know how I missed it but our old dog Kelly was in that picture! What a great dog!

It was a blast to drive. We drove it around the lot until the tires popped lol.

I got to drive a lot of cool cars there. SRT10 Ram, Jeep SRT8, F150 Lightning, SVT Contour(this was surprisingly fast...), v6 and v8 Taurus SHO's...

Believe it or not the contour was my favorite, lol. It was just so unexpected...

The viper was a blast to drive though, it has so much torque in any gear.

Wow that brings back memories, my first truck was an 88' F-250 which I would kill to get back. Almost the same color as yours too. Those cars at the junkyard all being scrapped?

Luckily we kept the 81. It needs restored again though. It ended up sitting in a field for a few years and is covered in rust (the body). Frame is good so in a few months I'm going to bring the rolling chassis into my garage out from storage and start the rebuild. Not sure what motor we will go with, I really like the 300 six, but I want to try to get to single digit territory so it would have to be on sauce or boost. We have been throwing around the idea of a big block or small block ford, but realistically the best thing to do if we went with a bent eight would be to go with modern technology, aluminum engine like an LS based GM engine or new ford 5.0 or something like that. Maybe a hemi, who knows. I'd like to stick with the 6 though...

Yeah the junkyard, it was actually a used auto parts place so we'd strip the cars and sell the parts and scrap the shell of the car, or whatever didn't sell...

IIRC the hood from that viper sold for like $5k or something crazy like that...
