Going to weld up a front 2" receiver that will attach to the tow hook frame mounting area. I need a place to put my winch (only when I'm stuck) on the front. The winch will have a homemade cradle and will plug into the front or rear 2" receivers as needed. I chose this front mounting point for 2 reasons. 1) It should be strong enough because of it mounting to the frame where the tow hooks are suppose to go. 2) I have a plow mount on the truck now and it takes up the space on the frame where a store bought front mount would go. Also will put D-rings or tow hooks on both sides of the mount. So... what does everyone think?

It's thicker than it looks in the pics. maybe 1/8-3/16". I figured if they put the tow hooks there to pull the thing out when stuck, it should be good enough to self recovery. The plow mount underneath already strenghtens the frame by linking both rails together with very thick steel, with the additional bracket I'm building it will only make it stronger.
