Anyone know where it is on the 4th gen 4.7? God I hope its not in the tank.:doh:

I believe it is in the tank. That's how it is on the 5.7, dont see why it would be any different.

I'm also 99% sure it's in the tank. I also don't recall seeing one anywhere along the fuel line while under the truck.

Do they have a replacement interval? I was thinking this could be related to my stalling...

I think they are "non serviceable". They are supposed to last the life of the vehicle. I doubt it would cause stalling.

I've had so many experiences with faulty/intermittent fuel pump issues on all the GM's I've had, I hope I don't have the same issues with this truck lol. My s10 probably went through 6 or so pumps in 3 or 4 years. My dad's malibu went through 2 in the year we had it before it was totalled. I've also done several on friend's s10's/blazers and cavaliers/sunfires. I REALLY wouldn't want to do it on a full size truck...

GM clearly had several years in the late 90's where fuel pumps were an issue.
