I am wanting to make my hood scoops not necessarily 100% functional, but open them up for air flow and to give the hood a better look. To anyone that has opened them up, has the water flow onto the engine been a problem at all? And was the engine light relocated, because it is directly underneath the scoop opening on the passenger side. Like I said though, I am not interested in making them connect to the intake at all. Really wanting to show the truck and glowing orange hood scoops would definitely make an impression. Thanks in advance.

Dude you live close to me dont do it i did mine and since it rains here non stop its a bad idea ill explain
Ok if you leave the hood blanket installed the water will ruin it
The water will sit on the hood supports and rust them out sooner or later
The water that goes through the scoops will go on your motor and whats all over the top of your motor yep electronics
So i bought a new set drilled out all the holes and installed leds lol

But bottom line your truck your decision i know big did his but gets hardly any rain
