Hi, I've got a '97 Ram 1500 with the 5.9 Magnum. I live in California and need to get this puppy to pass smog. Among the many things I've done is replace the Catalytic converter, O2 sensors, headers, and muffler. Sounds great and runs great. I cleared out the ODB codes, but how do I get the New CC to trip the computer so I can take it in and get it smogged? Nobody will touch it unless there are some stored codes in there.

Thanks,
-Erich

Cali Cali Cali...

First off... "headers"? Are you talking about Factory items, or aftermarket? Aftermarket Parts need a C.A.R.B. Certificate. Otherwise, check out the following info:

and this biiiig IP address that gets you a .pdf File with CA Inspection info:

thanks

Thanks, that first link on how to do a "normal" drive routine for the computer to log it was a big help. Now to just drive while looking out for cops will be the big adventure!

And yes, I have the C.A.R.B. stickers prominently showing inside the engine area. There's more than one.

Thanks.
