Alright so here's the deal. I have a 2012 4x4 quad cab express (5.7) with factory duals and I want to upgrade my exhaust. I really like the metal mulisha/Gibson exhaust but they don't make a dual version for it :'( So I was thinking about trying to order two of the MM/Gibson tips and whatever muffler that they use for that system, along with a magnaflow Y pipe. What do y'all think of the idea? Stupid or genius? Also does anyone know the size of the factory tubing??

I think the tip might be too large also I think the inlet for the tip is 4in

The stock piping is 2 1/4 just find a good shop to do you a custom exhaust and it would be a lot cheaper than ordering 2 kits

Yes. Swap out the stock muffler for something better, Magnaflow, Aero or Flowmaster keeping the stock pipes from muffler back since they're stainless. You'll save a load of cash and get the same results. Just had mine done today with an Aero 3030xl and it awesome.
