So this is a first for me. I traded in a perfectly good 2011 ram 1500 Big Horn. The irony to this is I traded because I loved it so much. I realized that this truck is just all around better than the other trucks out there.

So I shopped around for the "perfect" Ram that would fit my needs now and hopefully the future.

So out the door went a Black 2011 CC 4x2 big horn with the 3:55 open diff.

In came the 2012 Outdoorsman CC 4x4 with the Rambox and 3:92.

I love the 3:92! I can't wait to use the 4WD.

Just wanted to share that I traded a perfectly good RAM for a perfectly good RAM......:smiley_thumbs_up:

I think you made the right move. I love my 3:92 gears and I will not own a truck if it is not 4x4. Congratulations on your new truck.

So I gotta ask, how badly did you eat it on the trade? Unless you paid 10k under MSRP, there is NO WAY to trade a 2011 for a 2012 and not lose money...

That said, Nice upgrade! I love SBMP!

other than boat launching, why do you need/ want 4x4?
For two reasons. One is re sale value, the other is I deer hunt and go a lot of places that a 2 wheel drive will leave you stranded. Just yesterday I was in a muddy ditch that I could not get out in 2 wheel drive. I popped it in 4wd and out I came.
