i like the tail lights...looks good, but black or chrome would look better than red for the emblem. rep points for your efforts though...........

Yeah i was going to change my truck into a black and red theme but dont know yet.. I might keep in just Black with minimal chrome.

I was thinking that PTCTreeGuy for the emblem but like you said it would be hard... I might just make it all black and peel off the surround so its encompassed by accented chrome. Yes i plastidipped my stock wheels, i like them it will do its job until i get my lift and new set up! Thanks

The ram's head and the surround in red, the background black would make it pop more. But would be tough.

Love what you've done!
If you're wanting the red ram head and surround with black background, assuming that your ram head has a black surround already, you could do what I did with mine-- I have a silver, black and red theme.

(crappy pics, but you get the gist)

I laid the plasti-dip down, and while the layers were still wet, I took a toothpick and outlined everything. You can see that in the first image.

Then I let the Dip dry and I peeled off the background dip. I looks a ton better in the daylight.

That being said, just be patient. Keep an eye on the dip as it's drying if you do decide to do it that way. I had to go over a few places again with the toothpick as the dip sort of seeped back towards the ram head again.

Good luck, and great job so far!

Well i did some work today again on the emblems. Decided to go the all black route for it. I also did my rear dodge emblem black too in order to compliment it!

It's not too hard at all. I taped off the fogs and the upper bumper. 6 or 7 coats and you're done.

Nice looks good man, does the off color black bother you at all though? Any chance of a far back picture thats lighter?

How did you go about tinting the taillights.
I used VHT Nite Shade. Just prep and clean the tail lights with some rubbing alcohol, i sprayed 3 coats of it and it was the perfect tint. Not to dark not to light. Some people wet sand it with 2000 grit sand paper first then clean then do the coats however i like more of a rough look not completely glossy. Also you can put on clear coat if you want more gloss.

Won't be clean, but I'll try and get a couple better pics tomorrow. Supposed to be nice and sunny. :)
The off color doesn't bother me as much as I thought it was. I was worried it would be more of a greyish black... But there is just enough shine to the plasti dip that it looks good (IMHO).

This pic shows the rear bumper vs the paint better, I think. Make sure you click the top banner of the pic to open it larger.

Here are a couple pics I took this morning. Hopefully they're more what you are looking for... (Like I said, the truck is dirty... Rained yesterday and this past weekend I moved a load of crusher dust in the back that left a tonne of dust.)

Thanks for the pictures SShadow1974, look good! i'll have to take that option in consideration. You should tint your tail lights, it would complete the look haha.

I'd dip that grille black, the red RAM logo would pop like crazy...nice mods though so far.
I thought of dipping the entire grille black but was worried of the color match.
