This is my first time posting on this forum and my 2012 dodge ram 1500 is my first. I would love to get a grille guard and a snow plow but it looks like i will not be able to have both. Does anyone know if this is true or if there is a way i can have both?

I was under the impression that you could not install a plow on a 1500 due to issues with the air bag sensors...? Hopefully someone who knows better can chime in.

That is not true about the air bags.
I was looking at plows last year, I found a used boss poly on a 4th gen ram for sale. He was using it just fine.
They do not recommend the plows on the truck is true.


To the op.
It would entirely depend on the type of plow, and type of grille guard. IMO just take the grille guard off in winter. The poor GM guys have to take the bottom half of their bumpers off to put a plow on.
