Walk away! The shock and spring replacement is self explanatory I imagine. It's the drilling a new hole thing that has me a bit concerned.

 

so your dropping the rear 2'' correct if so then you dont need to drill holes if its telling you that then you got the wrong instructions to drop it 2'' its remove the stock stuff replace springs and shocks. Jack up the rear support the frame with jack stands use your jack on the pumpkin un do the shocks and rear sway bar slowly lower the rear, watch the break lines youll be ok but dont want to drop it to fast. The springs should almost fall out put new one in put in new shocks and gtg

 

Perfect! It's not telling me to do that but I thought I read it somewhere. That must be for the people who lower the rear and the front, 3-4" rear drop total.

And yes, mine is just the 2" leveler.

 

if you drop the rear 4 inches they actually give you a relocation kit so no more drilling

It's super easy to swap the rear springs. Basically lift truck, pull out springs, insert new springs. Might take slight prying with a long screwdriver but it's extremely self explanatory and easy.

I put RT springs on the rear of my quad cab and cut them to get~1" drop and it rides the same if not better. Payload is down a bit though.

 

Thanks for the replies. Dodgert has a great price on his rear kit but after looking at some trucks on the forum I may go with a 2/4. Not sure yet.Going to do some more forum research
