Does anyone know the difference between a Gulf spec truck(Kuwait, Saudi, UAE) and a truck from the US(Oklahoma). I was talking to an gentleman that had a 2008 ram and he dealt with a real nightmare when he shipped a US spec truck to Kuwait. From our conversation, his truck had mad issues with the air conditioning...it would not keep the cab cool in the constant heat. Vehicles over here are designed for the high temperatures, but I assumed my ram would have no issues. I am trying to get to the bottom of this before I decide to ship my CC from the states.

Thanks
JB

I'm not to sure about the difference between a gulf spec truck... But I can tell from having my old 2007 dodge ram, that the a/c sucks. I live in texas where it gets really hot with a lot of humidity and it did not keep the cab as cool as my 2011 ram. If you look at the 02-08 rams the condensers are tiny compared to the ones on the new trucks. Anyone feel free to chime in if you don't agree

My 2004 was amazingly horrible with the A/C. It got slightly worse shortly after the truck was new and I had to have the Evaporator replaced under warranty. I tried everything I could think of to get it colder, including sucking down the new system, oil and everything then adding a new accumulator and all new freon but nothing really helped...

The 2011 on the other had is quite the fridge..:smiley_thumbs_up:.. It still doesn't beat the best vehicle I had in regards to A/C, however I am pleased with it..:daz:

P.S- The best A/C Vehicle I have ever owned was a 2003 Jeep Libertitty. That thing was known to freeze your finger tips if you weren't carefull...

Thanks for the input. I'm not going to let the ac stop me from bringing my truck over here. I am waiting until my coworkers 2010 Malibu gets here to see exactly what I can expect to pay to get it registered. I should know more on the 9th of April when his car arrives. Thanks for the input.
The one specific horror story was a 2008 ram rc in Kuwait. I don't think it will be an issue. Fingers crossed. Until then, I'm driving a Nissan Sunny(sentra)...was a POS.
