Had dealer enable the Electronic Voltage Regulation feature on by truck today. It comes already enabled on trucks with the ambulance package. The purpose is to raise the engine idle speed to maintain battery voltage when there is a large electrical current draw on the electrical system. In my case I have a high output Xantrex ProSine 2000 watt power inverter that draws over 300 amps under full load from batteries/alternators. The alternators on my truck are rated at a total of 440 amps (220amp x 2). The EVR feature on my truck is automatic unlike a similar feature that I had on my previous Ford F350 with dual alternators.
