Headlights seem a little dim

Couple of things to do, first adjust your headlights up a wee bit. Second go to a better halogen bulb like the Sylvania Silverstar zxe's or PIAA's. Silverstars are probably a little cheaper. If you have the cash a nice upgrade is HID's with retro projectors.

I have the same issue on my new 2011 Crew Cab. At first I thought I was going blind...couldn't see squat driving at night. Then my wife said she though they were dim and low too.

Shame on Dodge for putting crappy headlights on a $30,000+ truck.

Are the HIDs hard to install for someone with limited electrical experience (like plugging in a fuse). I read something about a ballast being secured somewhere under the hood being needed...

I also find the headlights dim, especially the low beams. I was doing some off reading last night and I found that the high beams offered more light than I thought when I was back in the woods.
Now in saying that, as soon as the weather warms back up enough so I can spend an afternoon in the driveway, I am installing HID's.

Make sure u get the cancelors for the low beams so u dont have a bulb out issue. I had HID's then changed over to projector's with HID's much better!

I may try the Sylvania Xtravision H13 lights. They are cheap, and claim 35% more light. They get decent if not glowing reviews. Bulb longeivity is an issue with the silverstars and ultra, I don't want to change them every 6 months.

Here is a great vid that shows a step by step on how to get to the hack of the headlamp box to change the bulb (or replace the whole thing). Remeber, never touch the new bulbs with your nakes hands, the oil from your skin can decrease the life of the bulb. Wear clean gloves.

I'm planning to install real HIDs with projectors when my truck arrives. What projectors and which HIDs did you use? Are you satisfied with the results?

I'm not sure what everyone else is running, but I just installed the Recon projectors with HIDs and it made all the difference in the world. I tried everything from silverstars on up before I finally bit the bullet and went all the way with the Recons. You won't be disapointed and they have great tech support...
