Just bought my truck and was told it had MDS do all Hemi's have it and if not how can you tell if your truck does have it.

believe all 08 and up Hemi's have MDS. U can more tell or feel when it kicks in!

check the 8th digit of the vin. If it is a D then no MDS. If it s a 2 then u have MDS. I think most 1500s have MDS except for megacabs.

Great thanks for the info I will check that out. I was reading about the mod to add a MDS light I might try that one by adding a LED when it is active

all 07 and up have them and some of the 06 to in the 1500. some of the 06 had problems with it though. the 2500 and 3500 don't have them. as for tell when it activates you can feel a slight power shift between 4 and 8 cylinders, and if you have exhaust work done you should hear it to.

Zlow 28 there is a thread on here about the lgiht mod I will look for it when I get home from work. Seemed like a good thread to had some good pictures and good descriptions of how to do it.

Hey guys, got a question for anyone that can answer. I have a 06 1500 which should have MDS from what i've read. I do not have an exhaust and i cannot tell at all when the switch takes place from 8 to 4 or 4 to 8. Is there something specific i should listen for when this switch takes place?

ok nevermind, i got a exhaust now. i can def tell the mds is working
