Looks like my distributor cap has shot craps. Not getting any spark on my plugs at all. Thank god its not the fuel pump. Anyway, I removed my air filter box and noticed a Holley brand carb. Did Dodge put these on as o.e. or has the previous owner done some engine work?

Agreed. For the record, there hasn't been an OEM carb of any make on a 360 since the late 80's, and even then they weren't Holleys. Holley was, however the OEM for throttle body injectors in the pre-Magnum years. I have two Magnum throttle bodies, a '93 and a 2000, and neither states Holley anywhere that I can see. Still, they probably were the OEM for the Magnum throttle bodies. If you actually have a carb, then yeah, it's been modded. A pic really would help.

Thanks

After googling "holley throttle body" i found this picture, and this is what i have just not as pretty. this is from a durango, but that is where mine is stamped "holley" im not much of a mechanic, just a parts changer on my own, i tend to get my terms mixed up. thanks though for the insight...learned something new!

That's one nice clean looking throttle body. I do have a question for all of you though. Is the throttle body on a '97 Dakota 5.2 the same as the throttle body on a '97 Ram 1500 5.9? I'm looking to buy a spare throttle body and modify and clean it up hen install it in my Ram. I found one, but just want to verify fitment before I buy it.
