I ended up having to have a friend help me, he was inside the garage
I had the Ram parked just outside of the garage
he climbed the ladder & pushed the LEARN button
i was in the Ram, key on, remote garage door opener in hand & went through the process about 4 times until it finally worked
this is a post that someone put on this site, it has 2 or 3 ways to do it, depending on your garage door type
