How much fluid?

I am pulling 46re out today (4x4) and replacing the front band and anchor. My question is approx. how much fluid will I need including draining the converter? I am finding the fluid to the most expensive of all parts. (go figure!)

I am only changing just the band because I can not afford to do anything else. Just lost my job!

10 quarts...sucks don't it? And good luck on the job front, i was there all last summer.

Good luck on the job search... I think we might see a little more job losses again this year.

I'm a trucker and business has slowed from the 1st quarter bump we saw in freight volumes...it's an election year and things always slow down until the 1st qtr of the following year.
