Unfortunately a Chevy:smiledown:
My workplace is getting rid of the old F350 I drive.
As it is a public electrical utility, they have to take bids from dealers to supply new vehicles.

They were specified as 4WD CC HD diesel pickups (1 ton)
They are to have such goodies as power driver seat, remote start, heated mirrors, hands free for phone, tow package, aluminum rims, etc.
In other words, well equipped and capable.
I am also having added a winch, topper, bedslide, steps.
This will be the truck I drive every day at work.
I found out that Chevy won the bid to supply 2 trucks.
I was hoping for a Ram 3500, but they came in 3rd after the Silverado 3500 and F350.
Up side is, someone else is paying for it:smileup:

You just have go to the spec writer and have them include 'Heated Steering Wheel'.
Personally I think it's a safety item. You have much better control over the vehicle when you are NOT wearing gloves. ;)

I wish I thought of that. I think it's too late now as the bids are in.
Still not 100% sure what brand it will be.
They have typically favoured Fords in the past. My current truck is a 7.3 Powerstroke which has been great.
Ford has had a few different Diesels since then and some were well known to be crap. I think the latest version is new this year. At least the Duramax and Cummins are both proven. Whatever I get will have 800 ft lbs of torque!! gotta love that:Banana01:
