So I'm getting new injectors for my 1996 ram and want to know whatss the biggest (p/h) I can go with mostly stock internals
I tried a few actually and the bosch 703's everybody on the jeep forums raved about actually ran so rich they dumped a quart of fuel in my oil just running it in the driveway....
I have the dark blue 712 ones installed now and they work but i havent seen any improvements at all... and gas mileage is down...Fuel trim levels look good though.

You do realize it makes no sense to go with a bigger injector inless your running a turbo or supercharger or have stroked it? ...
The stock ones only run at about 80% of thier capacity (They can support up to 400hp) because the pcm controls the fuel flow and throttles them down so its not running too rich. The pcm doesnt throttle down the flow until it reaches closed loop mode at a certain point in the warmup cycle... and before that it runs off preprogrammed flow rates and if you put larger injectors its going to run very rich everytime you start your engine when its cold...

the only benifits can be from going to the finer mist 4 hole spray pattern of the newer generation 3 injector style...
I'm about to try yellow ford mustang ones since they have a closer to stock ohm rating and I hope they give better mpg results
