Well I have noticed a squeaky bed type of sound when going over bumps, it doesnt do it over all bumps, mostly smaller groups of bumps it seems and kind of when turning, yesterday I crawled under the truck and wiggled the wheels back and forth, it is coming from the passengers side. I noticed the inner tie rod boot had power steering fluid all over it and was leaking onto other stuff, the drivers side has some fluid on it, the fluid isnt really wet but then again the roads are pretty dusty form the sand so the sand could be drying up the fluid faster than normal. Hopefully the rack and pinion isnt ****ed as that is going to be expensive. The squeaking seems to be coming form either the lower ball joint (replaced professionally in January) or the wheel bearing (replaced last september professionally - has 12,000 kms on it now) Wheel does have some side to side play in it when putting hands at 9 o clock and 3 o clock. So I guess that is either wheel bearing or tie rods? I hate this automotive crap... Heavy Equipment is so much better, especially because it isnt mine LOL anyone have any ideas on the leak. Truck goes in next Tuesday to check out the squeak and everything else before I drive half way across the country...

drivers side

I think next week is going to be expensive

also just to add, the power steering level is good, I topped it up in Feb. as one of the hose clamps wasnt tight so was leaking from a hose but as of right now the level seems good. Just got a price for a rack, 220 bucks plus labour and that still doesnt solve my squeak. Next week I will find out for sure everything that the truck needs. atleast I get my new wheels next week, or atleast I hope I do

well because curiosity kills me I have crawled underneath my sore ram a few times today and have maybe contradicted myself and my pictures, the oil on the passengers sided bellow could have been from when I did an oil change about 2 weeks ago. the oil on the bellow isnt power steering fluid colour but instead looks like "old" engine oil. I really hope the rack is ok as that is going to be pretty expensive and still leaves me with another issue with the squeaking and slight play in the passengers side wheel. I want to believe for the best possible outcome LOL but usually it doesnt turn out good, to top it off it is friday the 13th.

Any Luck?

Did your truck get repaired? I have a 2004 as well that is having squeek issues also. I was wondering if you figured out what your issue was. Mine seems to be coming from the passenger side and can be replicated when I turn the wheels to the extreme left and and right. I am wondering if your issues could shed some light on where I need to go on mine. Thanks
