(insert evil sounding music) THE DEATH FLASH!Why dont I have it?

Sorry for the dramatic title..My 99 quad-cab 4x4 with 5.9 has no sticker or residue,indicating a dealer flash etc.Shouldn't the truck have had it done at some point?The truck has 130k miles on it now....

I have had several flashes done on my Ram, They only way that i know if one is done is to look at my Service Invoices or to ask the Service Dept. at the dealership(s)
Work that i had done while on the East Coast is in my local dealers database

Why was it re flashed? Was this a 2nd gen ram?

Go to Chrysler.com with your trucks paperwork. They'll send you an email with all the updates that have been done on your truck and what hasn't been done.

Paper work?Vin an say PCM part number?Or other stuff?

I thought the death flash was if you wanted to change spark control? And run high octane gas? But with the cost why?the 95 5.9 and my 01 5.2 seem to do well on 89 or 87 octane. I know the 95 has never been done if you put mid or high in it. Well it runs like poo. Never tryed 01 didn't see the point I'm good with high 17 hwy 15/16 city, 14 towing a trailer.

Yep, just the VIN, year make and model. There'll be a questionnaire for you to fill out. They sent me an email about the secondary hood latch not being done on my truck yet ('95) and 2 or 3 recals that haven't been done yet.

They told me to print the email and take it with me and the dealer would do all the updates for free.
