The cluster is plug and play. The steering wheel controls are needed to actually use the EVIC.
The radio control buttons on the steering wheel are what needs the new sales code (RBZ) and the computer flash to activate them. There is a question at this point if the wiring modifications that I had to do on my 2011 for the radio buttons are even needed on your 2012 since the clock spring wiring is different and appears to have the proper wiring already.
