What is the best way to run a power cord into the cab of a 2012 dodge ram to plug in an interior heater

Last time I did this mod I cut the end off the power cord then ran it through the firewall and installed a new plug on the cord. Then had a two plug extension cord so the interior heater and block heater were all on the same plug. Worked like a charm. Well until I drove away without unplugging the truck and broke a piece of the grill.

What is the best spot to do this , worried about drilling into something

Drivers side, I even thing there maybe an open port there too!

Look near your steering column penetration in the firewall. There will be at least one, possibly two, plugs that you can cut or drill through.
