Last night was just another day of an ongoing issue with my Longhorn failing to start. Either it's the Remote Start not working or when I get in turn the key, here a click and then nothing. EVIC message "Remote start disabled, Key Ignition to start." Heading to the Dealer tomorrow to have the Key Fobs and truck looked over. I'm wondering if the PCM is need of a flash update. But after three weeks of every other day aggravation, it's more than a hiccup with the ignition.

My truck will do that if I accidentally hit the panic button. At my old office, my truck was only about 100 yards from the building, and I have noticed the stupid panic button gets hit from time to time, setting off the alarm without me knowing it. Once the panic alarm has been triggered, that will disable the remote start until the next time you start the truck using the fob or chipped key.

Several folks on here have gone to the extreme of opening their key fob and placing something over the pop button for the panic button to disable it.

My problem was self-resolved when I started a new job that I have to park my truck over a 1/2 mile from my building. :(
