hey guys, anyone get the initiating comm, please wait, display when turning on the radio and then switching to the ipod? my ipod is connected thru the glove box and is fully charged and still get this message. all i have to do is unplug and replug and its fine, but this should not be normal. is there an update or something i am missing?

Mine does that once in awhile. Not too often thankfully. Would be interested too find out if there is a update. Wondered if it is because mine is an older Ipod Video model & not a new touch version.

mine is the ipod touch, i think the first version. pita!

I believe that you need to know the radios sales code
RER, RHR, RHB, RBZ, REN, RES. found on the lower right corner of the newer radios
You may have to type MEDIA CENTER ***, instead of dodge radio ***

I typed in Google search
MEDIA CENTER 730N (RER) software update
it shows a free upgrade for the iPhone 4 radio
the upgrade will have that & any other things that your Media Center needs as of the date that the upgrade was published

Then you can go to the APPLE devices site & type in the device that you are using & mention upgrade or update & if there is one, upload it
you should have at least version 3, i think that Apple calls it firmware
i am sure that you know more about Apple products than i do
