My cupholder is broken at the hinge and i believe this is a common problem. I searched for a bit but I didnt find a fix for the problem. Does anyone know of one?? I would rather not have to buy a new cup holder and Im not a fan of aftermarket cupholders in my truck either.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I was hopping someone would have a magic cobble fix for it. I would rather not spend $50-$100 for a stupid cup holder. Hope a junk yard is cheaper.

I'll have to take a pic and post it, but mine is broken on the lower hindge. This only issue with your "weld" would be I dont have all the pieces. I bought the truck and it was broken.
I myself was thinking about making something work with a black nylon strap or even a black shoe string instead of the wire on that thread. I think it you used some black screws or hide the screws it would look much better. Warlock is right, I dont like things to look cobbled. I dont mind if they are, I just dont want anyone to see it!
