Hi. I just bought a used 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab. After driving it the other day, I noticed that the hood seemed to bounce up and down when driving at highway speeds, like it was loose. When I opened the hood to untwist the two large plastic screws near the front that tighten the hood, I noticed that one of the metal tubes crossing in front of the engine was completely wet with condensation. I don't know a thing about engines, but is this normal after 5 minutes of driving with the AC on low? The outside temperature was about 85 degrees F.
Is it missing insulation? On an AC system one of the lines (liquid line) will sweat (condense) and normally will have insulation. If the insulation doesn't fit properly humid air will still get under it and condense.
