Leveling front

I have a 05 Ram 1500 2x2 and want to raise the front end. With a 2" raise, will I loose any ride quality or have to purchase higher shocks ? Also, an alignment is needed after install right ?

Good thread. Been considering a leveling kit but I don't want to sacrifice compfort, so think I stick w/ stock suspension and oversized tires. Thanks for the input :]>
