So I have had the truck for 7 months now and I already have the mind set that the 3" body lift isn't high enough haha. Ive seen some lift kits online but im not sure what to do. i want to upgrade to 35's or 37's. personally to me it looks like the front is lower than the back. what kind of combination lift should i do to make it all equal? What other front suspension parts will probably be more stressed from the lift and wear out pre maturely, so I can just do it right and replace them all at once. Thanks alot I am anxious to hear some responses!

Lift combo you should measure from the center of the wheel to the fender the difference will tell you what you need to level
With a 4" lift and 3" body you could fit 37s
You really shouldn't have any parts wear out per maturely if you get a lift kit and have it aligned

I have a 2007 dodge ram 1500 as well. I have the RCX 4" suspension lift with Bilstein 5100's all around equaling to about 5" lift. Heres a picture of what she looks like sitting on 35 toyo m/t's:

I have also been looking into this as I'd like to level my truck out for now, then do a suspension lift later on down the road. I contacted my local offroad shop and they said 35's will clear no problem with a leveling kit and I can go up to a 12.5" tire. I checked out the product they use (forget who the company is off hand), and they said you may have to install high angle cv shafts as well as the stock ones might bind with the leveling kit installed. Just gotta put in some more OT and I'll likely do it, perhaps a Christmas present for myself!

thats cool. i really want bigger tires. im probably going to just keep the stock rims for now and just get bigger tires before this winter. do u think its smart to get a programmer before i get the bigger tires.

i would definitely get a programmer before or atleast when you do get the tires. that way you can adjust your speedometer for tire size and also change your tune for better mpg's or power

good to know. i will deffinetley do that. i will probably get the programmer first. i hope too have leveling kit, programmer, and new tires all done before the first of the year. how bad does it affect the mpg's even if you are using a programmer?? not looking forward to that haha

i heard unless you go with a MASSIVE lift that it doesn't effect it that bad (now i also don't have a lift so i don't know for sure) but that's what i heard. and if you are using a programmer, the addition of the programmer plus the lift should average out (i would imagine) to around what you're getting now. but I'm hoping that i can get my leveling kit on within two weeks and have a programmer here by November, tires will probably have to wait until tax time.

thats good to hear..i was always nervous about that. cuz the truck already goes thru alot of gas. i am going to get a bike next year tho i just got my bike license so that i can save on gas when its nice out an keep the miles off the ram too. i may get a programmer soon.
